Solo Exhibition: Connected landscapes
Connected Landscapes - Inspired by Perthshire’s natural environment
Natasha Todd's Connected Landscapes exhibition showcases dramatic large scale pieces that draw inspiration from Perthshire’s natural environment, with a series of paintings that follow the rivers Tay and Earn, along Allan Water and through the Falls of Dochart. The exhibition highlights the transient nature of the water on its journey through the Scottish landscape, focusing on the weightless compositions and the fragility of the abstract shapes. The rich colours and earthy tones reflect iconic elements of Scotland; heather, autumn leaves, peaty rivers, wide lochs, waterfalls and mountains. We see Perthshire through a new and vibrant interpretation, juxtaposed with more traditional paintings from the museum’s collection.
This exclusive exhibition of new and contemporary works of art by up and coming artist Natasha Todd was unveiled at Perth Museum and Art Gallery from autumn 2018 until March 2019.
